November 4, 2009 - Letter & Pictures

Hello My Beautiful Family!

Wow what an awesome p-day eve I had last night! I watched your videos you sent me! Dad you are so funny! It's funny you are getting really good at your motherly duties! I am sure the kids love you being home! I always hated you working late ever since I was 3 I always was glad when Daddy comes home! lol wow I have been on a mission too long lol. It's good but at the same time I bet everyone misses mom being at home as well too. But thats ok, Mom keep doing what you are doing and everything will work out! Dad you had surgery? I didn't know your nose was messed up. What happened? I hope you don't take too many of those pain pills they are addicting! lol.

I bought my own study journal! I separated it up A through Z. So it's kind of like my own true to the faith book! Any subject will have my interpretation on what a gospel principle means!

But ya I got the letter and memory card yesterday. I expected it to be there yesterday morning but the mission sent it regularly which they never do, they sent it expedite as fast as they can get it to us! So I was lucky to get it last night because it could of been lost!!!! That's how the letters work! I get letters from you guys at least once a week! and if others write me I get it on other days but usually you are on a Tuesday or Wednesday depending how fast the mission sends it! Oh last week Grandpa Jay's wife Sherrie wrote me a short happy Halloween note. Also said, Grandpa's letter is going to come soon which will be cool!

Brinae's hair looks cute! The short hair looks good Brin but not too short! Oh my goodness I havn't had brownies in sooo long don't put syrup on it you nasty! Real quick thank you for sending the memory card once again but for next time I was hoping to see pictures and everybody say hi to me! If not that's ok not going to lie seeing and hearing you guys got me trunky! Not too terrible though! Although Brinae's voice was beautifull to hear thank you so much!!! Talia sounds really different I enjoyed her talk and Shaeley was so funny! always cracking jokes! That's cool about that guy going to russia it's nice to hear we have some baptisms since I have been gone! So awesome that's a hard language as well!

Now most of all I want to talk to this awesome Elder really quick. Tanner it was so good seeing you thank you for that quick video. You sound so different I love the accent on you! I felt the spirit really strong last night as I was listening to your talk it felt as if I was there and the things you said confirmed to me that they are all indeed true! Thank you for your testimony you have grown so much! I certainly agree with sincere prayer and dilligent scripture study! When I don't do a good job or have bad studies in the morning I have a harder day and it's hard to see success. But when I have awesome studies and learn from the spirit I see miracles! I have a few questions for you. Later it would be awesome if you wrote me back! You said when you fasted for a family you had 140 people in the ward! Wow we can barely get 30 -40 people to church each week! Although Taiwan is the first generation of members of the church. We are just starting to touch the surface to find all those that are prepared. I bet in 10 years Taiwan will flourish with success and see a ward up to 140 would make my mission worth while. Especially down here in my area in a small little branch. Recently back in July when I met my new mission President Hoer he testified to us "as we are worthy obedient and dilligent we will see Districts will baptize as much as zones and zones will baptize as much as a mission. Last move call our zone down in southern Taiwan baptized 39! The old gao xiong mission record was 36!!! As you can see the work of the Lord is progressing so fast! I can't wait until I see Taiwan have as many members as u la gui does sorry thats Chinese as uruguay does! So my questions are. we call every 6 weeks move calls. You said changes? If so thats cool! Now since you had so many members how many member present lessons or whatever you call that did you average a week! Now if that was me I would have a member at every lesson!!! President Hoer told us last Zone Conference the missionaries that have the most pei kes I mean member present lessons ah i hate english! They are the missionaries that baptize more! Now last week we had 15 so I'm sure you had more unless none of your members had time to accompany a lesson! lol. So ya how did that work? That is cool you baptized a guy from China! Originally was he Buddhist or Taoist? My bet is he was Buddhist! I love seeing people change their wicked traditions of their fathers! Even though every church is good and beleives in doing good things it is so hard for a Chinese person to give up worshipping their ancensters, and to stop beleiving in hundreds of gods! Also they beleive here that all religions are correct so the fact that any Chinese person comes and beleives in Christ is a huge miracle! I love you Tanner thanks for your example! and hope to get a letter from you soon!

Alright sorry I felt prompted to write to tanner I hope you enjoy it as well! I love you all, Drayson keep up the hard work you are a beast!!! I love you Brycson don't worry you will grow and be way strong one day! Let it come!

Love, Elder Christensen
